Description
The Calli 3100 is a non-electric fat bike on 26 x 4.0 inch tyres, with a 6061 aluminium frame, smooth-ground welds and internal cable routing. Shimano Altus 1 x 9 gearing with an 11-42T cassette: a single chainring keeps it simple, with gears low enough for hills. Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes stop reliably, also in the wet.
The 4-inch Wanda tyres on 5-spoke magnesium wheels give it its distinctive look. Fat tyres grip on sand, gravel, dirt and potholes, and ride more comfortably than a normal bike on village roads. Good for weekend rides, exercise, the beach, or exploring Trang An and Tam Coc.
The fork is rigid, without suspension: lighter and less to maintain. The low-pressure fat tyres do the cushioning.
